Community Outreach 2008 -
May 2008
Sumner Food Bank
Providing food and essential items to needy members of our
community.
Specific needs:

Ladies Tea -
LTCC
Ladies Tea is May 17 from 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM.
Would you be willing to help? We need table hostesses, a clean-up
crew, food preparation help etc. A sign up sheet is posted on the
women's ministry board. Also, think about who you would like to
invite to the tea. Tickets will be on sale May 4 & 11. They are
$5 |

Tri-Annual Meeting -
Our next meeting is May 18 at 4:30 PM. The Starbuck
mission team will be serving dinner to raise money for their
trip. You do not need to be a member to attend our meetings |

Spring Formal -
The TwentyFourSeven spring formal dance will be on May 9
at 7:00 PM. The cost is $20 per person in advance or $25 at the
door. Please RSVP by May 2 to Lynda at
253-862-7070. |

Vacation Bible School -
Please let us know if you would like to be involved in
VBS. There will be a VBS information night for all those
potential staff people on May 13 at 6:30 PM. Please mark
your calendars! VBS is July 14-18. |

Ladies Night Out -
The end-of-the-year bonfire at Darcy Olsen's has been changed
from June 6 to May 30. Arrive between 7:30 - 8:00 PM The
bonfire begins at 8:00 PM. No need to bring a snack - smores and
beverages will be provided. |

Ladies Video Series -
Connie's Tuesday night Beth Moore study has finished and they
will be viewing various videos on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 PM.
All women are invited. Call Connie for directions to her home or
the church office at 253-862-7070. |

Dinner for Six -
The groups have been selected and are on the board by the
kitchen. |

Church Nursery -
Could you serve in our Nursery/Toddler Care Ministry? As our
church grows, we are in need of more workers to enable us to
provide the quality of care that we desire. Would you like to
serve as a couple one Sunday each month, or perhaps one Sunday per
quarter? See Pam Page or Pat Shotwell for more information. Teen
helpers are also welcome. |

Starbuck Mission Trip -
The mission trip dates are June 22-29. The Fundraiser
will be May 18 at the Tri-Annual Meeting at 4:30 PM.

LTCC Christian College Scholarships -
We desire to encourage and assist individuals in equipping
themselves for life and ministry through Christian higher
education. Scholarship applications are available at the Welcome
Center. Applications are due by June 1st. |

Women Mentoring Women -
If you are interested in meeting with another Christian woman for
discipleship, please contact the church office at 253-862-7070. |

Picture Board-
We would like to have everyone's picture on our picture board. If
you have a picture of yourself or your family, please bring it to
the office or email it to the church. |

Mayfield Lake Camping-
Reserve your site for the all church camp out on
www.camis.com/wa The dates are August 3 - 8. Every site has
power and water. You don't have to stay all week - but you will
want to! Please call Gordy or the church office at 253-862-7070
if you have any questions. |

Use of Church Items -
Folding chairs, long white folding table and some kitchen items
are available for personal use by church family, if the request
does not conflict with an in-church activity. We do not loan out
the round tables, tablecloths, and many of the items in our
kitchen. A request may be made through the church office either
by phone or e-mail, stating the date(s) needed and listing the
items requested. The church office will call or e-mail to verify
the availability after checking the LTCC master calendar and
receiving permission for the use of the item(s). The Head
Deaconess will give permission on the kitchen item(s). Please be
prepared to replace items(s) borrowed if they are damaged while in
your possession. |

Listening Devices -
We have 5 sets of assisted listening devices to help the hearing
impaired listen to the sermon. See one of the sound technicians
in the back of the sanctuary if you would like to use one. |
